Buena Vista exploring on a broken 4 wheeler

These are some photos I have been meaning to post from a while back. For those of you who are keeping up with us through this avenue, we miss you a ton, I hope they give you a glimpse as to what our life has been like for the past little bit. Before I go on, Amber wanted to make sure that everyone knew that this is Taylor writing.
So what can i say, we absolutely love Buena Vista. We have been there so many times partly because of the YL camp frontier but mostly just because of how awesome it is. Its so awesome in fact, that we decided to buy Amber a four wheeler so we could explore more of it. sounds like a good idea.
Well, i learned a lot from this experience, especially how much a knife in the back it is to know that you got taken. I want to share one with you...
Life Lesson Number Uno:
Dont buy anything expensive and/or mechanical from a home where pot smoke pours out of the garage like fog rolling off the lake

I should have known, but i got too wrapped up in the excitement and the possiblities of what was to come. Seemed like a great guy, very knowledgeable and had tons of other toys. Boy did we get screwed. I like to consider myself a fairly decent mechanic. So i took it around the block a couple times and bought it. Get it home and what does it do the first time amber takes it down the street blazing? It decides to stop and pee out all of its gas through the carb...not good for those who dont know. But i fix it and we take it to Buena Vista for its first run. 15 miles into the wilderness it decides to break down and require major repairs. NO BUENO. So amber and i double back on my moto for 15 miles and take my truck all the way back there. thankfully it wasnt stolen. Without further pause here is the POS
"what could be wrong"

Broken stuff makes me so angry
we still took some time to enjoy the beautiful place we were in

So two months later we get it sold. Bad investment but great learning experience. Right now we are actually in an interview process to try and move to buena vista. it would be a dream, and in trying to decide if we would move if the positions were offered to us one verse has been speaking loudly to me lately, "Wake up O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. Be very careful, then how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lords will is." Ephesians 5

So if the Lords biggest will for our life is that we would be made more like him and come to know him more, then i must ask if this decision will bring me closer to him or not. Is this wise for us to do?

We should find out soon! so stay tuned

and i just like this one
